Christmas

We all spent Christmas together at my sister's house. It was very lovely. It was lovely for us all to be together. We haven't all been together for quite a while, not since Mark left for Berlin. This year Mark and Natalie were both there on Christmas Eve. The unfortunate part for Kim and John was that they'd agreed to play at both services at their church. So they were a little rushed.

Kim stayed home from the first service at which John played at. Oma and Opa and Hannah and I went to the service. It was two hours long! And Hannah did so well. I tried to keep her interested in the things going on in the church. She is the most adorable, cutest thing ever. At one point when we sang, yet another hymn she shook her head and said "No!", kind of like she was saying, "enough already, let's go home". But whenever John played a descant on his trumpet her face lit up she called "Daddy." She's so cute. She loves the candles and the tree and the advent wreath. In the last few days she's even learned how to blow out the candles. She's learning so much. You show her once and she copies it right away. She got a rocking horse (actually moose) for Christmas and she was skeptical about it at first but after I got on it and rocked back and forth she figured it made more sense and has been going at it since. She loves the doll and wagon she got from Oma and Opa which are actually Kim's hand me downs. Did I mention that she's the cutest thing ever? What a blessing to our family.
