One of the things I like about coming to Europe and visiting is the family time. And we always seem to be able to squeeze Schemeit time in. Dirk and Christine are always willing to coordinate a weekend with me, where we can all be in Meerssen together and Antje’s place. This time they picked up my mom and Kimberly, his niece, before heading up. Larry and I arrived later in the evening. We had a great weekend visiting, catching up and being Schemeits together. We celebrated the Dutch Sinter Klaas and German Advent. One evening we even had Kamschel for dinner! We stayed up late and shared pictures and talked of our heritage. Cassandra and Kimberly were very interested too in our family history. We even started dreaming up some new travel plans. Schemeit Time is good for the soul.
