My day with “three lovable madmen” was spent in Potsdam. Actually we got off the stop before Potsdam and hiked along the Glienicker See in to the city. It was maybe about 10 kms. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the scenery and the beautiful homes along the way. Wenn we got there we had Kaffee und Kuchen at a lovely little café in the Dutch quarter. And then we walked some more through the gardens of the Sanssouci palace. It was a lovely day, despite all the headshaking at Mark’s, Andrew’s and Andreas’s little squabbles and poutings. We laughed a lot none the less. In fact, sometimes all you could do was laugh. The train ride home when we were all tired and giddy was particularly crazy, especially the debate that was sparked over a train we saw leaving for Kaliningrad/Koenigsberg. Even the people sitting around us were shaking their heads.

Ha! When looking at this picture, I am reminded of Sesame Street - "What does not belong in this picture?". And it's not that you're the one woman that makes me think this! :)
I had a strange dream this morning that included your brother's friends and you too. I had watched the new(ish) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie last night with Tessa. It was hilarious. I was especially taken by the part of the Oompah Loompahs played by Deep Roy. In my dream Mark's friends were short, like the Oompah Loompahs! WHat's with that? :) You were not short, or so rolly polly as they were. Neither Mark.
