Shopping in Masooli

This morning Vennie, Kristine, Anne and I walked over to Gayaza Road to buy coal, soap and special treats. They didn’t have any chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream which would have been ideal at that point, but the bottle of Miranda soda and candy éclairs did just as well. We walked over actually to take a tour of the high school that Vennie did practice teaching at last year. That was very neat to see and we met the deputy headmaster (vice-principal). They have 70-100 students in a class. And we complain with 38. But then again they have different consequences. Walking back to the Centre felt good. We know the way and waved at all the children who come out to see us. Good conversation too. When we were back we wished we had a couch but like the chocolate chip cookie dough it isn’t going to happen.

When you get back we'll have couches, icecream, snow, ice - everything!
